What is Project Newgen?
Project Newgen is a fast fictional football career generator. You scout a 16-year-old player, lock in their identity, then simulate their full career season by season.
The fun is in the story: first-team debuts, transfer madness, international call-ups, breakout seasons, trophies, awards, injuries, late-career moves and the final legacy judgement.
How to play

Choose your savePick Easy, Standard, Hard or Legendary. Easy lets you steer position and club pool. Hard asks if a defender or keeper can become the GOAT.

Scout a newgenName and nation lock in. Reroll the club, overall or potential depending on your mode. Keep the lad or bin him off and scout someone else.

Start the careerWatch the timeline unfold: debut, season stats, transfers, trophies, awards, international moments and occasional chaos.

Chase the GOATRetire, see the club history, awards, trophies, earnings, average rating and GOAT score. Then immediately roll another one. It is the law.

HardDefensive positions only: GK, CB or DM. Fewer rerolls, no easy route, and top-tier legacy needs Ballon d’Or proof.
LegendaryNo rerolls, no locks, harsher injuries and a brutal GOAT chase. The football gods are not your mate.
100/100 GOAT rule: to truly max the score, you need a record-breaking career: 7+ Ballon d’Ors, 3+ Champions Leagues and at least 1 World Cup.

Winning the Ballon d’Or is a successful run. Creating THE GOAT is the mythical route: 7+ Ballon d’Ors, 3+ Champions Leagues and a World Cup.
Modes shape the story. Easy gives you agency and a realistic shot at greatness. Hard and Legendary are there for painful, screenshot-worthy miracles.
No. Players are fictional, randomly generated and nation-flavoured. Clubs are currently used as flavour in the prototype and should be reviewed before any public launch.
At the moment it tracks a local personal best in your browser. No accounts, no database, no proper online leaderboard yet.
Prototype-wise, yes. A future public version could include a simple Buy Me a Coffee link if people enjoy rolling tiny football goblins.
